About Me
When I started my yoga journey 6 years ago, I could not have imagined the ways it would transform my life. Starting with online classes and guided meditations, I (slowly!) found more clarity in my thoughts and created space to explore my emotions and thoughts as an observer for the first time. As someone who was often caught up in life’s complexities and chronically overthinking every decision, it allowed me to release control and let go.
Practicing with others in yoga classes and discovering an incredible community of amazing people made me fall in love with yoga even more. The power of practicing together brings a whole new energy and new sense of fun.
Yoga, meditation, breath work and other healing practices can provide you with the foundation to channel your energy and help you to deal with life’s unexpected twists and turns. As someone who struggled with anxiety and self confidence issues, I found I was living my life reactively and everything seemed hard. I often felt at mercy of life’s challenges, feeling lost and experiencing unnecessary stress about situations I had no control over.
Don’t get me wrong, I still struggle sometimes - life doesn't stop throwing you lemons and situations can still be hard. However, through building a practice that suits me, I can always find solace in knowing I have the tools to come back to myself and deal with things in a way I wouldn’t have dreamt of 4 years ago!
Sharing this knowledge with others and creating opportunities for people to set out on their own journey, whatever that may be, is really special to me :).
YTT Amorgos, Greece
Once yoga had become a staple part of my life, I felt drawn to deepen my practice and learn more about the philosophies and techniques. I was nervous to embark on the surprisingly long journey to a small island in Greece, but I knew it would be amazing when I arrived… and it was even more magical and incredible than I ever could have imagined.
The island itself was absolutely beautiful and there was an unbelievable feeling of magnetic calm. Unspoilt sunsets like I had never seen before and have never seen since. Pristine sparkling blue sea. Small traditional villages with beautiful Greek architecture.
Learning with such welcoming, kind and interesting people was what made the experience so special. A special thank you to the teachers who so generously shared their wisdom and the staff who looked after us all so well.
Returning home after a month, I could not wait to share what I had learnt. If you ever get the chance to visit Amorgos, definitely check it out!
